Peter A. Fisher
Cortus is led by Peter Fisher with over 25 years’ experience in strategic new business development, growth strategies, organizational transformation, and new product development in financial services and related sectors. Prior to launching Cortus Advisors 10+ years ago, Peter was partner and leader of the financial services practice at Tapestry Networks, where he led global financial leadership networks at the board and C-suite levels in insurance, banking, and asset management. Previously, Peter was also a managing director at Fidelity Investments over 12+ years leading top strategic priorities at 1) Fidelity Institutional Asset Management, where he led the development of long-term growth strategies, global expansion initiatives, organizational restructuring, and thought leadership 2) the Fidelity Research Institute, where he led the design and launch of the new thought leadership and product development organization reporting directly to the CEO 3) the Strategic New Business Development group, where he led this 40-person unit supporting business unit growth strategies across the enterprise. Peter began his professional career at Bain & Company where he focused in financial services, insurance, asset management, and technology businesses.
Peter holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Business Economics from the Harvard Business School and Harvard Graduate School and a B.A in economics from Northwestern University. Peter previously served (2007-2023) on the advisory board of the Pension Research Council at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, which develops collaborative research on retirement systems in both the public and private sectors.
