Cortus is led by Peter Fisher with over 25 years experience in strategic new business development, organizational transformation, new product development, and thought leadership in financial services and other sectors. Most recently Peter was partner and leader of the financial services practice at Tapestry Networks, where he led global financial leadership networks in insurance, banking, and asset management. Previously Peter was managing director at Fidelity Institutional Asset Management, where he focused on long-term business strategy, global expansion initiatives, organizational restructuring, and thought leadership. He also led the design and launch of the Fidelity Research Institute, a novel thought leadership and product development organization reporting directly to the CEO. Previously Peter led the 40-person Strategic New Business Development group at Fidelity Investments for seven years and began his professional career at Bain & Company where he focused in financial services, insurance, asset management, and technology businesses.
Peter holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Business Economics from the Harvard Business School and Harvard Graduate School and a B.A in economics from Northwestern University. Peter serves on the advisory board of the Pension Research Council at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, which develops collaborative research on retirement systems in both the public and private sectors.
